FigSys v.2.4 is a program for processing, analyzing and presenting data and creating science documents of all kinds. FigSys is a major advance in Windows graphics software. It is powerful but easily accessible to users of all levels of experience. Turning your data into basic figure types such as line graphs, bar charts, areagrams, drop-plots or scatter diagrams is completely automatic and there are endless refinements which can be added with the simple-to-use tools. Text-only charts can be created and 3D data graphing is also included.
Stat-200 is a remarkably comprehensive general statistics package. It incorporates all the descriptive statistics, parametric and non-parametric statistical tests, graphics and data transforms you will need for processing, analyzing and presenting data. Assays may include up to 2000 tubes and up to four standard curves, each of which can incorporate up to 24 values. Assay drift can be compensated by interpolation of results between standard curves.
EnzFitter is a generic curve-fitting package which has custom features designed to make it especially suitable for analysis of enzyme kinetics experiments. For example, initial rate and parameter values can be obtained with their confidence limits for single and twin substrate rate data. NeuroSim for Windows is a computer program intended for use in teaching neurophysiology, primarily at the undergraduate and beginning graduate-student level. It may also provide entertainment, and perhaps some useful insights, for experienced neurophysiologists. It contains several modules, each of which simulates a particular aspect of neural function.
CardioLab costs less than a single dog or cat, yet can be used repeatedly to simulate chart recorder outputs of experiments on anesthetised (normal or reserpinised) animals and pithed animals. The simulated heart rate and blood pressure traces appear on screen and can be printed out.
It is possible to mimic experiments to identify an unknown compound. Random elements are incorporated in Ileum to simulate the inherent biological variability in the response to the same dose of agonist. Ileum can be used quantitatively or qualitatively and a representation of a 'chart trace' is produced on screen. This can be printed out and measured and analyzed in the usual way.
