While checking a node state you can also see its physical connections, and all views which include this node. In one click you can explore the switch ports, VLANs, and connections.

 Alerts, Network Traffic, Performance views - it's everything you need, especially when you are troubleshooting network problems.
 

 NetCrunch creates many views for you automatically, depending on your network stucture and monitored devices. Of course any view you need can be created manually.
 For instance, you will find predefined views for your networking devices and locations. Additionally, any node field can be used to create new automatic views.
 Views are dynamic and automatic. It means that every time when a change occurs, the program will update them accordingly, including map layout.
 

 Discovery and Configuration
NetCrunch discovers the network in a few minutes, then it checks which services are running on nodes. After NetCrunch recognizes particular device type, it automatically starts monitoring appropriate parameters and sets alerts for the device. If a device type can't be recognized, you can quickly set an appropriate device type manually.

 Monitoring Packs
Monitoring pack is a set of monitoring parameters (reports and alerts) - automatic packs are based on device types, other packs can be assigned manually to nodes. Monitoring Packs are the best way to keep control over what is monitored.

 Predefined
Program includes many predefined Monitoring Packs for operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, BSD, ESX/ESXi, AIX, AS/400) and applications (Active Directory, DNS Server, Terminal Services, Apache Server, Exchange, IIS, MS SQL, Forefront TMG 2010) and SNMP manageable network devices. Built-in MIB database contains 1300 most popular MIB definitions. Furtermore, MIB compiler allows you to compile any additional MIBs.

 Multi-selection
Although Monitoring Packs are great for controlling what is monitored, there are other monitoring parameters you can easily set for multiple nodes. Just select multiple nodes in the console and change any of the monitoring parameters like monitoring time, credentials, etc. It can't be easier.

 SNMP MIB Compiler
Although NetCrunch comes with over 1300 pre-compiled MIBs, there are more than 60 000 of MIBs available on the internet. SNMP is still widely supported by many network device vendors. That's why NetCrunch contains own MIB compiler allowing to extend MIB database as needed.

 NC Open Monitor
NetCrunch open monitor allows easy delivery of any counter data to NetCrunch. It can be a script (i.e, VBScript, PowerShell, Javascript) running on NetCrunch Server or an application. Data can also be sent to NetCrunch from any remote system using simple REST API.
