For Android and iOS Devices:
Shared Device Configuration allows organizations to share devices among multiple shifts, creating a personalized experience based on their individual login credentials. 

SOTI Mobile SSO supports Android and iOS and is built using SOTI Identity. It leverages certificate-based authentication to validate end users to seamlessly grant access to all necessary apps.

For Android Devices:
Support for Android devices running Android Enterprise which have Microsoft 365 applications installed via Microsoft Entra ID Shared Device Mode. 

Single Sign-On (SSO) support for shared devices which utilize the Imprivata Mobile Device Access (MDA) app controls the exposure of third-party apps to Imprivata MDA. 

For iOS Devices:
Shared iPad for Business lets organizations share iPads between employees. Managed Apple ID allows for personalized access to the specific apps and data each worker needs to perform their tasks. 

For Windows Devices:
Support for Microsoft Entra ID Shared Device Mode allows users to log into a shared device and have access to required Microsoft and non-Microsoft apps that are integrated with the Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL).

System Requirements

These are the system requirements for installing SOTI MobiControl. Unless noted, these are the minimum requirements for a deployment of up to 1000 devices. For deployments of more than 1000 devices, consider upgrading components for better performance.

For SOTI products that are past End of Life (EOL), SOTI does not market, sell, deploy, or provide updates to those versions. See SOTI MobiControl Product Lifecycle for more information.

 Note: The deployment server and the management server support load balancing. However, the SOTI MobiControl console is not kept in the global cache, therefore it is important to use sticky sessions. 
 Tip: If you do not want to run SOTI MobiControl server components using a Local System account, you can create a Service Account with the appropriate permissions

The listed components should meet the recommended levels to run SOTI MobiControl.

Database Requirements

The SOTI MobiControl installer comes bundled with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Express Edition, a lightweight version of SQL Server 2016. It is typically adequate for deployments of 10 to1000 devices. For deployments of more than 1000 devices, consider using Microsoft SQL Server 2019, as it has many scalability and performance improvements.

You can install the database and deployment server on the same host server. However, SOTI recommends using a standalone database for deployments of more than 500 devices.

SOTI MobiControl requires SQL servers use a database collation that is case insensitive and accent sensitive. For example, SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS is a collation that meets these criteria.

Note: Enable the TCP/IP network protocol in your SQL Server network configuration.

SOTI Snap is a cross-platform solution that enables organizations to rapidly build mobile apps to replace paper-based processes by using the data-capturing capabilities (camera, video recording, barcode scanning, etc.) of your mobile devices.
