The new O&O StartupManager offers a clear overview of all programs, tasks and services that are automatically executed when Windows starts. With detailed information about each program – including the impact on the system’s startup time – it is easy to decide which programs should be activated or deactivated.

Unnecessary applications are marked as such and can be deactivated with a mouse click. Defective startup entries are also detected and can be deleted. This shortens the computer’s startup time and ensures that it is ready for use more quickly.

Checking and repairing the Windows rescue environment: The rescue environment is essential for both a functioning Windows and Defrag IntensiveOptimize. On many computers, the Windows rescue environment is damaged, for example due to incorrect updates, and is therefore unusable. We have therefore expanded Check&Repair in O&O Defrag 29 so that your Windows rescue environment works reliably like it did on day one.

O&O Defrag 29 checks your hard drive or SSD for inconsistencies that can lead to problems. The component memory and Windows system files are checked for errors.

Once the check has been completed, O&O Defrag will show you whether and which errors were found. Most errors can be corrected directly using the repair function.
