Sending Faxes

• Faxes can be sent from any Windows application by printing to the 'snappy fax printer'
• Faxes can be sent via:
  • Fax modem connected to telephone line
  • Internet fax service (efax, etc.)
  • To email via attachment in .tif or .pdf format
• The following document types can be automatically prepared for fax by snappy Fax:
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsfot Excel
  • Open Office Text documents
  • Open Office Spreadsheets
  • PDF Files
  • Text Files
  • RTF Files
• Image files in .tif,.jpg,.bmp format
• Fax documents directly from your scanner
• Any number of folders can be monitored for new files that can be automatically faxed by snappy fax

Aside from fax software that supports Super G3 fax, you need a fax modem that supports Fax Class 2.1. Until recently, there were virtually no modems that supported Fax Class 2.1 and those that did were prohibitively expensive. Not so any longer, we can recommend an affordable modem or multi-port modem board if you need to accommodate multiple fax lines.

Requirements

• Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10
       and any version of Windows Server. Both 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows are supported
• 2gb ram
• 60mb free disk space (actual space requirements will depend on fax volume)
• Fax Modem connected to a telephone line. Note: if you use your internet fax account,
       a fax modem is not required but you will need to subscribe to one of the supported fax services.
• Note: DSL and cable modems cannot send or receive faxes, they are not fax devices.
• Scanner (optional, if you want to scan paper documents for faxing)
